We offer care for sick cows and 24-hour emergency services to current clients of Tavistock Veterinarians. If you contact the clinic outside of business hours you will be transferred to our after-hours service. Please provide your name, phone number, the reason for your call, and the urgency of your call, and the veterinarian on duty will contact you.
Mastitis is a pain for both the cow and the producer. Knowing the cause of your mastitis will allow you to make the best treatment decision for your cow, and provide you with information on how to prevent future cases. Culturing is done at the Hickson location in our milk culturing lab by one of our registered technicians. Clients can give samples to their veterinarian or drop them off at Hickson themselves. Culture results are texted or emailed within 24-48 hours, with treatment recommendations provided by your herd veterinarian.
